Casen & Collins are 9 months old! We took them to see Dr. K this week for well-check appts. They got the 2nd doses of their flu shots & are doing great!
Exploring the table paper in the exam room.
Collins weighed 15.8 lbs & measured 25.75 inches long.
Casen weighed 19.2 lbs & measured 28 inches long.
Casen's hair sticks straight up in back - hopefully it will lie down one of these days!
What!?!? We get SHOTS today?!?!
A new adventure this week... bathtime without the baby tub! Since Case & Collins are both sitting up so well on their own, we started bathing them in the big tub. The best part is they get more toys to play with - so fun!

We feed Case & Collins baby food twice a day - usually around 10:30am & 6:30pm. They love The Price Is Right & Wheel of Fortune - the "click...click...click" of the wheel gets their attention every time!
Collins had quite a productive week. She found her voice & started babbling last weekend - her favorite is "da-da-da-da-da-da". She also started army crawling, except her army crawl at this point looks more like an inch-worm! We're working on strengthening her legs to bear weight. She is beginning to bounce better, so we're making progress! Here she is with her snack cup.

8 months
Everyone says kids grow up fast, but you don't realize how fast until the months fly by with your own kids... & here we are with twin 8 month olds! We are thoroughly enjoying watching Casen & Collins grow & develop - it seems like they learn new things almost every day.
Casen is sitting up well on his own now. He is extremely curious & is always watching & exploring. Luckily he can't crawl yet so we can contain the exploration (for now!) He drools as well as any baby, but doesn't have any teeth just yet. This week he started feeding himself with his fingers & babbling. I often find him happily babbling in his crib after waking from a nap or a good night's sleep - SO cute! Collins is also sitting up on her own, but still topples over quite a bit. She still likes to use her surprise face to express excitement. This week she got her 6th tooth #7 is on the way!
Great Grandpa Jay came from Arkansas to visit for a couple of weeks. It was so cute to watch Casen with him... for the first couple of days he was here Casen would see him across the room & just start smiling & giggling! I think he must have liked Grandpa's bald head :)

Bryan's parents (aka "Nana" & "Pop") came to visit this weekend. We had a great time!
Casen trying apple chunks for the first time (using his mesh feeder to prevent choking).

7 months
Casen & Collins are 7 months old, and we are constantly surprised at how quickly they are growing up! Casen loves to watch his surroundings - especially while standing while we hold him up. He is even learning how to take steps while we hold his hands. He will be in to EVERYTHING once he figures out how to crawl, but for now he's content with rolling around on the floor. Something tells me baby-proofing is not far in our future, however! Collins is using her legs to bounce more in her activity center, but doesn't like to stand up yet. She enjoys cuddling & being carried around - this girl knows a good thing when she has it! I can't complain, though... she's awfully sweet to cuddle with :) Collins has another tooth coming in - this time a front tooth. Her new smile gives her such a different look!

1st Tooth
Casen & Collins are 7 months old. They're both rolling all over the place and Casen loves to stand up & jump in his activity center. They love cereal & baby foods now - avocados, green beans, & butternut squash are some of their favorites!
Collins has some exciting news to share... she got her first 2 teeth last week! She's such a trooper & hasn't even been fussy.

This weekend we got to go to Kingsland to visit their Aunt Suzy & Uncle Stu. We had a baby shower for their boy/girl twins - due in November. Suzy looks so cute with her pregnant belly!
Collins enjoying the view of the lake.
I LOVE these moments!!! My snuggly baby boy!
Collins wore herself out & fell asleep in her activity center... time for a nap.

Stand Up!
The kids will be 7 months old next week and they are growing up too fast.

Casen loves to stand up and can go for about 5 minutes. He doesn't step much yet but it's coming soon.

The kids are eating solid foods much better. They get their chance twice a day. Casen loves to suck his thumb as he eats. It mostly adds to the mess and makes him awfully sticky:)
