Casen & Collins turned two on Dec 28th!! I am still amazed at how FAST they're growing up!
To celebrate their birthday, we took them to the Dallas World Aquarium. They have some really fabulous exhibits & we all had a blast! Aunt Lindsey came with us & was a huge help corralling 3 little ones.
Aunt Lindsey & Casen watching the birds & monkeys in the rain forest area of the aquarium - he LOVED looking around & there was so much to see!
The giant sea otters were so fun - and fast! The kids loved watching them zip through the water. At one point, we looked down to see Lainey licking the glass. YUCK - (sigh) two year olds!!
It was so cute to watch Casen chase the sea turtles as they swam back & forth across the huge aquarium wall.
Lainey pointing out some pretty anemones to Aunt Lindsey.
Aunt Lindsey holding Lainey in the shark tank tunnel - SO cool!!
Lainey got up close & personal with the gorgeous jaguar.
On Saturday, we had a birthday party at Nana & Pop's, complete with an inflatable bounce house! It was so fun to catch up with family & friends. I love watching all of the 2nd cousins play together!
Aunt Donna snuggling with precious baby Levi. He's just 1 month younger than Miller.
Megan, Regina with Levi, Laura, Donna, Hollie, & Lindsey - what a good looking group!
I got the kids some animal face masks for their birthday party. Here's a Lainey giraffe - Haha! I think we enjoyed them more than the kids did :)
Aunt Lindsey & Vivi
Bryan's cousin, Holly, & her precious son, Evan - so glad they could make it to the party!
Casen started to look a bit puny just before the birthday party started. Then about 10 minutes after we served lunch, he puked all over the kitchen floor! :(
Poor baby - this is how he spent the rest of the birthday party - sacked out & quarantined away from all the guests. He slept for 4 hours then surprised us all when he woke up feeling 100%.
Casen opened his birthday gifts with Daddy after he slept off the tummy bug.
Casen even perked up enough to enjoy Nana & Pop's bounce house. Both he & Lainey loved jumping & playing - they both kept asking for the "house" even after it was gone.
Our little weeble-wobble spent more time falling down than jumping, but giggled the whole time! She's such a happy girl!
"Wow, this is awesome!!"
"Get ready, Lainey! Here I come!!"
"Gotcha!!"
"No, Mom! We don't want to get out!"
Collins didn't hesitate to enjoy some birthday cake without her brother.
The giraffe & zebra kept sinking into the cake, so we let them decorate the table.
Collins & Mommy - can't believe my baby girl is 2 years old!!
Nana & Miller - can't believe how big she is already!
Miller hanging out with Aunt Megan
Aunt Regina got the kids an AquaDoodle for their birthday - what a cool toy!! They love scribbling with the water pen & it dries on its own with no mess for Mommy to clean up - Yay! :)
Our sensitive little man - here's Casen multi-purposing the AquaDoodle pen as a "bottle" to feed baby Violet. He is quite creative - so fun to see what his mind comes up with.
It snowed this Christmas. Bryan took the kids outside to play while I was at work one day. Collins LOVED running around & playing in the snow. Casen, hmm... not so much :)
My little helper! Casen loves to "help" with laundry. If only Daddy's boxer really did need to by hung up! :)
What a character! Collins making silly faces with Daddy as they played with the Tupperware one day.
Collins is very musical (she did NOT get that from me!)
She loves to listen to music, clap, dance, & play when she gets the chance. She was going to town on the xylophone during the last Cowboys game of the season. Cute!!
