Bryan's parents got a bounce house for the kids while we were visiting one weekend.
They have a blast jumping and playing! Unfortunately, mommy decided to bounce right next to Collins to pop her up in the air. Instead of popping up, her knee buckled and she went splat on the mat :(
After an xray, we found out that she had a slight buckle fracture of her left tibia. We went to visit the orthopedist and she was put in a full-length leg cast for 4 weeks.
Lainey was such a trooper! She even fell asleep while Dr. Littlejohn casted her leg.
Bo and Abbie were by her side the entire time :)
Lainey wanted a "boo" (blue) cast - sweet girl!
It didn't take her long to figure out how to move around with a full leg cast. After just a day hobbling around with the stool, she was practically running in her semi-squat position.
Lainey and mommy
Her cast didn't slow her down! She played hard...
and slept well :)
Before we knew it, 4 weeks was over and it was time to get her cast off. Lainey was nervous as soon as we walked into the Orthopedic clinic. She huddled up to me the whole time.
Even though she was scared (and wouldn't talk), she was so tough and let the nurse cut her cast off. She didn't even cry!
The cast is off and a sucker makes anything better!!
